I love her voice. It's so soothing, just what I need to get through the week. Enjoy!

Timeless

"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." -Marilyn Monroe

San Francisco

Last week I took a trip to San Francisco for my birthday weekend. The one thing I wanted to do was bike the Golden Gate Bridge. Ever since I was in college I have wanted to bike across the bridge and surprisingly none of my friends were takers. Strange dream I know, but I wanted to feel the wind in my face (very cold wind at that) while seeing the sights upon a bike. With a little coercing I talked my bestie and cousin, Kayla, into joining me. It is an 8 mile ride one-way to Sausalito, but so worth it. We set out on our journey, not realizing there would be a few hills to master before we even set foot in the bridge. Once we were finally on the bridge, the temperature dropped what felt like 10 degrees. We kept going and finally made it Sausalito. What a beautiful sight and accomplishment.

Happiness is...

Isn't it funny no matter what, music can just soothe your soul? Or is it just me? I can be feeling down and drab and then I turn on some tunes and it changes my whole aspect. I can't help but smile or get up and dance in my living room. The past few months have been a challenge for me. I feel as if I'm out in the center of the ocean with no land in sight. I'm discovering myself and this thing we call life. Where do I belong where am I going? Learning to smile and laugh on a daily basis is the best medicine. Anywho...enjoy this little diddy from one of my favorites, Bon Iver.

Wanderlusting

I just returned from a beautiful weekend at the Wanderlust Festival in Squaw Valley, Tahoe, CA. What is Wanderlust you ask? It is an indescribable experience of yoga, love, and music. I went in to this event with no expectations and I was thoroughly surprised by the amount of community and devotion I shared with many of the other festival goers. Many people came from all over the world to partake in the endless activities and workshops. I am now addicted and will return year after year.

Our drive up

Our view on the road was incredible. I haven't been to Tahoe in the summer in some time. To see all the trees in full bloom was amazing!
The art was continued onto the transportation

My sound bath. This man Danny created a way to relax while experiencing the vibrations from singing bowls and gongs.
Staying hydrated was important
Well that's some of the fun I experienced at the epic Wanderlust festival. I feel that I have found a new love for my yoga practice by becoming centered in the mountains. To have nature surrounding you as you practiced was breathtaking.
