Today as I spent my day trapped indoors, I was dreaming of a fabulous getaway. I began to reminisce of a trip I took two years ago to Belize. Let me just say there is nothing like this place. The people are so friendly and welcoming. You can't walk down the street without someone saying hello and asking where are you going? They ask out of curiosity and in case they can aide you in any way. I stayed in the city of San Pedro which is on the southern shore of the Ambergris Caye. Here are some of the fun things to do while visiting.
Top Five:
- Hike to the Mayan pyramids
- Scuba the Great Blue Hole or snorkel the beautiful waters
- Cave tubing
- Zip line through the jungle
- River water tour

Cave Tubing
You begin this tour by hiking through the jungle and then returning by tubing through the Caves Branch River. The Mayans regarded these caves as sacred and a home of many Gods.
The gentle current guides you down the river.
As you enter the caves, everything goes pitch black you can only see by the mining light you wear on your head.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteWow so nice photos! The Belize blue hole is singular in most ways, the single being which it is the customarily blue hole in the universe which can be seen with the exposed eye from outdoor space. Thank you...
